information, support and referral line
The ARAFMI Information line, provides information, support and referral to families and friends of people with mental illness, including people in crisis situations.
The Information Line, is staffed by carers with personal experience in the
field of mental illness.
Information, Support and Referral Line volunteers can direct you to local Community Health Centres, other non-government agencies that have services for the families of people with a mental illness, self-help groups, carers' groups, government agencies and groups and services that specialize in particular mental illnesses eg. Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression and can provide information about accommodation and rehabilitation services.
