The National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC) website provides access to the latest evidence based research and information on eating disorders. It is funded by the federal Department of Health and Ageing. 

Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre - Mental Health Respite Program.

This is a national program - with 54 centres around the country. Funding for each centre will vary so their service will be individual.  Please contact your local centre for specific details. 

Mental health medicines result in the highest number of calls to NPS Medicines Line, suggesting that people taking these medicines and their carers have a lot of questions about their medicines.  Being ‘medicinewise’ will help you make better decisions for you and those you care for.

The Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC) is encouraging health services in Australia to incorporate a strong focus on the impact of trauma on people seeking care, in its Trauma-Informed Care and Practice learning development and training program.

PTSD is a type of anxiety disorder that can develop in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. Most people exposed to a traumatic event experience strong feelings in the first days and weeks following the event. The majority recover without professional assistance, however, if someone continues to feel distressed beyond the first couple of weeks , he or she may be experiencing PTSD.
