Author(s):

Mental Health Carers ARAFMI NSW’s Sydney office is co-located with the Mental Health Association of NSW and the NSW Consumer Advisory Group (the ‘Partners in Mental Health’) in Suite 501, Level 5 at 80 William Street in Woolloomooloo.

The Partners also share a Resource Centre with a library of materials relating to mental health and mental health carer issues. The Centre specialises in books, CDs and DVDs, for anyone interested in learning more about mental health including various illnesses and disorders, prevention, treatment, recovery, advocacy, inquiries and reports or the history of this area.

These resources are available to the public and can be borrowed by students or other people with an interest in these topics for their education and/ or personal use. The Resource Centre Library Catalogue is attached below for the information of people who might like to use this service.

You don’t have to be a member of any of the partner organisations to borrow books (other than reference books which must be read on-site). If you live outside Sydney, material can be posted to you (so long as you undertake to return it). Loans are for 3 weeks.

Internet Access

The Centre also offers free internet access for people to research mental health topics if they do not own a personal computer. There are also online courses dealing with mental health issues that people can take using the Centre’s facilities. Please contact the Centre on (02) 9339 6000 for further information and bookings.
