Mental Health Carers ARAFMI NSW is a member based, community organisation that provides support, information and education to members and the community at large. In NSW we have branches in Newcastle, Wollongong, the Central Coast and the ACT as well as a number of support groups across the state.

We are part of a national organisation that seeks to improve the lives of families and carers of people with a mental illness. ( www.arafmiaustralia.asn.au )

In New South Wales we are the peak body representing those families and carers. To ensure that we are able to inform authorities and governments about the specific needs of families and carers of people with a mental illness, we need your input.

Use this forum to inform us of your needs in relation to the care and support of a person living with a mental illness. We will be able to use your comments to inform our planning and advocacy.

You are also welcome to contact our office dircetly (02 - 9332-0777) and speak to a staff member about how you can participate in wider consultation groups, working parties or to simply become a member and join our extensive mailing list.

We look forward to hearing from you.
